SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) apply to the text messaging program operated by South Bay Luxury Motors, doing business as Luxury Motors of South Bay (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms in addition to our Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Program Description
South Bay Luxury Motors operates an SMS/text messaging program to communicate with customers about automotive repair and maintenance services. When you opt in, you may receive text messages including:
- Appointment reminders – confirmations and reminders for upcoming scheduled service appointments
- Service status updates – notifications when your vehicle’s repair or maintenance work reaches key milestones (diagnosis complete, parts ordered, ready for pickup)
- Estimate approvals – digital repair estimates sent via text for your review and authorization before work begins
- Promotional offers – special discounts, seasonal service promotions, and exclusive deals for existing customers
- Seasonal maintenance reminders – timely reminders for routine services such as oil changes, brake inspections, fluid flushes, and other manufacturer-recommended maintenance
- Follow-up communications – post-service satisfaction checks and review requests
Our messaging program is designed to keep you informed about your vehicle’s service status and help you stay on top of maintenance for your German luxury vehicle.
2. Consent and Opt-In
By providing your mobile phone number through any of the following methods, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from South Bay Luxury Motors at the number provided:
- Website contact form – submitting your phone number through any form on luxurymotorssouthbay.com
- Appointment scheduling – providing your phone number when booking a service appointment online, by phone, or in person
- Keyword opt-in – texting a designated keyword (e.g., “START” or “JOIN”) to our business phone number
- Verbal consent – providing verbal consent to receive text messages when visiting our shop at 4040 Spencer St, Unit Q, Torrance, CA 90503, or during a phone conversation with our team
- Written consent – signing a service intake form or other documentation that includes SMS consent language
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You don’t need to opt in to text messages to schedule service or have your vehicle repaired.
By opting in, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile device associated with the phone number provided, and that you are authorized to approve the applicable charges from your mobile carrier.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the type of communication and your interaction with our services:
- Promotional messages: No more than 4 messages per month
- Transactional messages (appointment reminders, service updates, estimate approvals): Sent as needed based on your active service appointments and vehicle status. You may receive multiple transactional messages on days when your vehicle is being serviced.
Actual message frequency depends on your service activity and communication preferences. Customers with vehicles actively in our shop will typically receive more messages than those without a current appointment.
4. Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply to any messages sent to or received from South Bay Luxury Motors, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. These charges are determined by your carrier and aren’t imposed by us. Check with your wireless provider for details about your messaging plan and any applicable charges.
South Bay Luxury Motors is not responsible for any fees or charges assessed by your mobile carrier. Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time using any of the following methods:
- Text STOP – Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any text message you receive from us. You’ll receive a one-time confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request. No further messages will be sent unless you opt back in.
- Text HELP – Reply HELP to any of our messages for assistance, including information on how to opt out and our contact details.
- Contact us directly – Call 310-504-0089 or email [email protected] to request removal from our messaging program.
After opting out, you won’t receive any further text messages from South Bay Luxury Motors. If you wish to rejoin the program at any time, you may text START to our business number or provide consent again through any of the methods described in Section 2.
Please allow up to 24 hours for your opt-out request to be fully processed. You may receive one additional message confirming your opt-out during this period.
6. Supported Carriers
Our SMS program is supported on all major U.S. mobile carriers, including but not limited to:
- AT&T
- T-Mobile
- Verizon Wireless
- Sprint (now part of T-Mobile)
- U.S. Cellular
- Cricket Wireless
- Metro by T-Mobile
- Boost Mobile
- Google Fi
- Mint Mobile
Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service availability and message delivery may be affected by your carrier’s coverage area, network congestion, or other factors outside our control.
7. Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Your phone number and personal information collected through our SMS program are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We will not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number or any personal information collected through this SMS program with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely for the purposes described in these SMS Terms.
Information shared via SMS (including vehicle details or service requests) is treated with the same confidentiality as information shared in person or over the phone at our facility.
8. User Data
In connection with our SMS messaging program, we may collect and store the following information:
- Name – your first and last name as provided during opt-in or service intake
- Phone number – the mobile number you provided for receiving text messages
- Email address – if provided alongside your phone number
- Vehicle information – year, make, model, VIN, and mileage of the vehicle(s) you bring to us for service
- Service history – records of past appointments, repairs, maintenance, and estimates associated with your account
- Opt-in/opt-out status – your consent status and the date and method by which you opted in or out
- Message logs – records of text messages sent to and received from your number for quality assurance and compliance purposes
This data is used to provide the messaging services described in these SMS Terms, personalize your communications, maintain your service records, and improve our customer experience. We retain this data for as long as you are an active participant in our SMS program and for a reasonable period thereafter for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
9. Third-Party Service Provider
South Bay Luxury Motors uses GoHighLevel, a third-party customer relationship management and marketing automation platform, to send and manage text messages on our behalf. GoHighLevel facilitates the delivery of our SMS communications, including appointment reminders, service updates, and promotional messages.
GoHighLevel processes your phone number and message data solely for the purpose of delivering our text messages and managing opt-in/opt-out requests. They are contractually obligated to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements. GoHighLevel doesn’t use your information for their own marketing purposes.
We may also use additional third-party services for SMS delivery, analytics, or compliance purposes. Any such providers are bound by data processing agreements that protect your personal information.

We reserve the right to update or modify these SMS Terms at any time. When we make changes, we’ll update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Continued participation in our SMS program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.

If you don’t agree with any updated terms, you may opt out at any time by texting STOP to any of our messages.
